Submission Guidelines
How to submit to the Journal of Science, Humanities and Arts
Step 1 — Prepare Your Files
- Convert your manuscript into PDF format for submission.
- Prepare and upload both DOCX (or equivalent editable format) and PDF versions of your manuscript.
- Name your files using the following format:
year_month_title_author(s) - Include a short biography of the authors on the last page of the manuscript. For further details, please consult the Mini Handbook for Authors.
Step 2 — Submit Online
Create an account, click on “Submit”, and complete the required fields as outlined below:
1. Submitter Information
All submissions must include accurate personal and institutional details:
- Email (required): Must be valid and cannot be changed after submission.
- Full Name: First and last names are required; academic titles (e.g., Dr., Prof.) are optional.
- Affiliation (required): Up to five institutional affiliations may be listed.
- Phone number (optional)
- Address details (optional): Street, ZIP code, city, and country.
Authors are strongly encouraged to include at least their country to support our understanding of the journal’s global reach. - Short Biography (optional): Maximum of 1000 characters.
2. Authors
- At least one author must be listed.
- One author must be designated as the corresponding author.
- Authors may be reordered as needed.
- ORCID iD is optional but strongly recommended, particularly for researchers.
3. Article Information
This section corresponds to the cover page of the submitted paper.
Each submission must include:
- Title (required)
- Abstract (required): A full description of the article. The original abstract from the manuscript should be entered here.
- Short Abstract (optional): Maximum of 800 characters (used for the PDF cover/summary).
Due to layout requirements, this field is strongly recommended. If the original abstract is already concise, it may be used in both fields. - Languages (required): At least one language must be selected.
- Keywords (recommended):
Keywords from the database will be suggested. If a suitable keyword is not available, authors may create a new one. Please use concise keywords (avoid phrases or full sentences).
For further guidance, consult the Mini Handbook for Authors. - Article Type (required):
A wide range of contributions is accepted. If unsure, select “Other”; the editorial team will review and classify the submission accordingly. - Categories (required):
At least one category must be selected. If uncertain, consult the category descriptions on the homepage under the Browse section. If still unclear, select “News and Views”; the editorial team will update this if necessary.
4. Supplementary Content (Optional)
Additional materials may be included to enrich the submission:
- Video Link: URL to a relevant video (e.g., presentation or explanation)
- Featured Image:
- Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP
- Maximum size: 10MB
- The image will be used on the cover page and must be free of copyright restrictions
- Landscape orientation is recommended (e.g., images from Pexels)
Step 3 — Upload Manuscript
Upload both DOCX (or equivalent) and PDF versions of your manuscript. For bilingual submissions, upload files in the following order: 1. Original version 2. Translated version
5. File Upload Requirements
PDF Version (Required)
- One formatted PDF per selected language
- Maximum size: 8MB per file
- Files should be compressed if necessary
Manuscript Source File (Required)
- Editable file for editorial processing
- Accepted formats: DOC, DOCX, or ODT
- Maximum size: 8MB
6. Additional Notes
- Authors may include remarks, requests, or relevant information
- Maximum length: 2000 characters
Step 4 — Accept Publishing Terms
To proceed with publication, authors must confirm authorship and submission permissions and agree that the article will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license.
Final Submission
Once all required fields and files have been completed please review all information carefully and click “Submit Article” to finalize the submission. A confirmation of submission will be sent via email.
Review and Processing
- All submissions undergo editorial review, including verification of legitimacy, compliance with JOSHA guidelines, and adherence to basic scientific standards.
- Submissions are screened for plagiarism and self-plagiarism.
- Any required revisions or additional information will be communicated via email.
- Authors may track the status of their submission through their dashboard and will also receive updates by email.
